OmaCal

Support

Bug reports get answered. Most days they get fixed.

OmaCal is a small project with a short loop between a report and a release. The best place to say something is where everyone can see the answer.

Bugs and feature requests

Open an issue on GitHub. Say what you did, what you expected, and what happened, and include your version and operating system. A screenshot of the wrong thing beats a paragraph about it.

Questions and anything private

Email works too, especially for anything with an account or a calendar in it that you would rather not post. We read what you send only to reply.

Before you write

The command below prints what a report usually needs: the version, how it was installed, whether the database and the keyring are reachable, whether the agent skill is in place, and whether an update is waiting. Nothing in it is your calendar.

Common questions

How do I update?
The app checks once a day and shows a notice in its header when a newer version exists. One click installs it. Packages installed with apt or rpm update the same way. If you would rather not wait, re-run the install line from the download page.
Where is my data?
In a local database in the app's data directory on your machine, and nowhere else. Credentials live in your system keychain. The privacy policy lists exactly what is accessed and where it goes.
Something looks wrong after a theme change on Omarchy.
OmaCal repaints when the theme changes; it does not need a restart. If a colour looks off, open an issue with the theme's name, since the palette comes from the theme's own file.
How do I revoke access or remove the app?
Revoke Google access from your Google account's third-party access page, or delete the app-specific password on your Apple ID page. Then uninstall and delete the app's data directory. That removes every local copy of your calendar.
Is there a Windows version?
Not yet. It has been asked for and answered honestly on the issue, which is where any news would appear first.
